1.      Finding the theme in a piece of writing
2.      Finding the ways in which the writer attempts to persuade the reader
3.      Finding the purpose of the piece of writing
4.      Finding the symbolism involved with depicting the theme of the piece of writing
5.      Find the impact on the reader
